Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had to think about this review for a few weeks before making it, perhaps to let my thoughts settle. My order was shipped quickly and perfectly. My husband and I watched the instruction video and marked out our first straight line on our cabin bedroom wall. We are intelligent people and were up to the task. It started out more difficult than we anticipated. The popcorn ceiling was dropping ceiling bits onto the top sticky back of the mural which caused me angst to remove as we started. But we continued on with the first edge keeping it lined up to our vertical mark. At one point my husband pulled too much of the backing off the mural in haste and part of the mural stuck together to itself. DO NOT PULL TOO MUCH BACKING OFF AT A TIME ON THE MURAL ONCE YOU START STICKING IT AT THE TOP OF THE WALL. I said many bad words and turned into a rather awful version of myself for about ten minutes while we carefully peeled and pried the stuck mural apart. It did stretch a bit but we salvaged it and you really can’t tell as the slightly damaged part is in a corner lower down the wall. Husband apologized and I did too. We continued on and it got easier to place each piece as we got the hang of it. We found that peeling about 2 feet of backing off at a time worked best. We also found that carefully cutting the backing sections off as we peeled them, so that the removed backing didn’t hang down causing unnecessary bulk as we were smoothing the mural to the wall, worked best. We’ve been married 27 yrs and this project was the only one I could think of that raised my blood pressure higher than it should be, along with causing the utterance of bad words. Having said this, the mural is fabulous. It looks really great. Perfect for a mountain cabin bedroom. Husband and I are talking about ordering another one and I promised I would be nicer next time. Be brave, stretch your marriage and vocabulary and order the mural.
