Cadet Dark commits to its drama — magenta thistle blooms and rich blue flowers painted against a dark purple-black ground that reads nearly charcoal in most lighting. The botanical subjects are scaled large enough to register from across a room, with watercolour edges that soften the intensity without losing the punch. Colours are saturated but not garish — the magenta leans toward fuchsia, the blue toward royal, both grounded by sage-green stems and cream highlights.
