No. Our grasscloth designs are printed effects that reproduce the look of woven grass at high resolution. You get the warm, natural appearance without the fragility, colour variation or cleaning difficulties of real grasscloth, which stains easily and cannot be washed.
The texture is printed, so on Smooth Matte the surface is flat. If you want a tactile finish, choose Canvas Texture Peel & Stick, which adds a subtle woven surface on top of the design and produces zero glare.
In most homes, yes. Real grasscloth marks easily and is hard to clean, so it is rarely used in kitchens, bathrooms or kids’ rooms. Our Peel & Stick versions are waterproof and washable, so the look can go into busier rooms.
Peel & Stick grips light orange-peel texture, but heavy knockdown or stipple reduces contact and can cause edges to lift. On heavily textured walls, skim-coat and prime first, or choose Traditional Non-Woven, which is more forgiving.
