Ordering & Samples
How do I order a wallpaper swatch?
Every design page has a swatch option. For CA$8 we print and ship you a 24-inch swatch — a full panel width, not a postcard-sized clipping. That’s big enough to tape up and judge colour, scale and texture properly in your own light before you commit to a full wall. You can order swatches here.
How much wallpaper do I need to order?
Measure your wall width and height in inches, then enter both into the price customizer on any product page. It works out the panel count and exact price instantly. We print to your wall height, so you’re not buying fixed rolls and guessing — you pay for the wall you actually have, plus a little trim allowance. See our guide on wallpaper cost in Canada for a full breakdown.
How long until my order ships?
Most orders ship within 2 to 5 business days. Everything is printed to order in our Vancouver studio, so nothing sits in a warehouse fading under fluorescent lights. Once it ships, delivery time depends on where you are in Canada — typically a few days for BC and Alberta, slightly longer heading east.
Can I see a design on my own wall before buying?
Yes. Every product page has a room visualizer — upload a photo of your wall and preview the design on it at roughly true scale. It’s the closest thing to holding the wallpaper up in your Calgary bungalow before spending a dollar. Pair it with a CA$8 swatch for colour confirmation and you can order with confidence.
Materials & Safety
What’s the difference between your three wallpaper types?
Smooth Matte Peel & Stick (CA$3.95/sq ft) is a 100-micron matte vinyl rated for 3+ years — the renter’s pick. Canvas Textured Peel & Stick (CA$4.89/sq ft) adds a woven surface that reads like an art canvas. Traditional non-woven (CA$4.28/sq ft) is a 270gsm PVC-free paste-the-wall material built to last 15+ years — the homeowner’s pick.
Is your wallpaper safe for bedrooms and nurseries?
Yes. We print with GreenGuard Gold certified low-VOC inks, the stricter tier of UL’s emissions certification — the same standard used for products in schools and healthcare settings. It limits total VOC emissions to less than half of what standard GreenGuard allows. For the lowest-emission wall covering overall, choose our PVC-free non-woven material. It’s a popular choice for nursery wallpaper.
Do you have a PVC-free option?
Yes — our Traditional paste-the-wall wallpaper is a 270gsm PVC-free non-woven. The two peel and stick products are Type II vinyl, which is what gives them their waterproof, scrubbable surface. If avoiding vinyl matters more to you than self-adhesive convenience, non-woven is your material.
Is the wallpaper washable?
The peel and stick materials are Type II vinyl — waterproof and washable, so crayon, splashes and fingerprints wipe off with a damp cloth and mild soap. The non-woven traditional material is also wipeable. None of our wallpapers need babying; they’re made for spaces people actually live in.
How long does peel and stick wallpaper last?
Our Smooth Matte vinyl is rated for 3+ years, and in practice it lasts well beyond that on a properly prepared wall away from direct heat sources. Most customers redecorate before the wallpaper gives up. If you want a 15+ year installation, choose the Traditional non-woven instead — it’s the longer-term material.
Installation & Removal
Does peel and stick wallpaper damage walls or paint?
On sound, fully cured paint (painted at least 4 weeks ago) in a good-quality finish, no — it peels away cleanly without residue. The honest caveats: fresh paint, builder-grade flat paint and patched-but-unprimed drywall can lift when anything adhesive is removed. Test a swatch in a hidden corner first; that’s exactly what the CA$8 swatch is for.
Will peel and stick work on textured walls?
Light orange-peel texture usually works; heavy knockdown or stipple doesn’t, because the adhesive only grips the high points. If your walls have real texture, either skim-coat and prime first, or use our Traditional paste-the-wall non-woven, which is more forgiving. When in doubt, order a swatch and stick it up for 48 hours — the wall will tell you.
Can I use wallpaper in a bathroom?
Yes, with the right material. Our Type II vinyl peel and stick is waterproof and handles the humidity of a powder room or family bathroom fine. Run a fan during showers, as you should anyway, and keep wallpaper out of direct shower spray. Plenty of customers have papered a powder room in an afternoon — it’s the classic first project.
Do I need a professional installer?
For peel and stick, most people don’t. The panels are 24 inches wide, which one person can handle alone, and the adhesive repositions if you misalign a panel. A 10-foot accent wall is a one-afternoon job with a level, a squeegee and a sharp blade. For full rooms in traditional wallpaper, or walls with awkward angles, an installer is money well spent. Our step-by-step wallpaper application guide walks you through it.
How do I remove it when I move out?
Start at a top corner and pull down slowly at an angle — peel and stick comes off in full panels, no steamer, no scraper, no chemical stripper. A hairdryer on low softens the adhesive on stubborn spots. The non-woven traditional material also dry-strips off the wall when its time comes. Budget about 15 minutes per wall.
Shipping & Returns
Do you ship across Canada? Are there duties or border fees?
We ship coast to coast, and because everything is printed in Vancouver there are no duties, no border fees and no surprise brokerage charges at your door — ever. That’s the difference between ordering Canadian-made and ordering from a US printer. What you see at checkout is what you pay.
When is shipping free?
Shipping is free on orders over CA$300, which covers most accent walls and every full-room order. Below that, you’ll see the exact shipping cost at checkout before you pay. Swatches ship for a small flat fee — and the CA$8 swatch price is credited toward many a happy full order.
What’s your returns policy?
You have 30 days. If a stock design isn’t right when it arrives, contact us and we’ll sort out a return or replacement. Because everything is printed to order, custom photo wallpaper and resized prints are made specifically for your wall — so check your measurements and approve your proof carefully; we’ll help you get both right before printing.
What if my order arrives damaged or panels don’t match?
Photograph the issue and email us within a few days of delivery. Misprints, transit damage and panel mismatches are reprinted at our cost — that’s not a negotiation, it’s the standard we hold our Vancouver studio to. It’s a large part of why we sit at 4.9 stars across 140+ Google reviews.
Custom & Visualizer
Can you print wallpaper from my own photo?
Yes — any photo with enough resolution can become a mural: your kid’s drawing, a hike above Squamish, your grandparents’ farm in Saskatchewan. Upload it, tell us the wall size, and our design team checks resolution and preps the file. If the image won’t hold up at wall scale, we’ll tell you honestly before you pay. Start with our create your own tool, or browse ready-made wall murals.
Is the design service really free?
Yes. Colour tweaks, scaling a pattern up or down, mirroring a mural to fit your wall, removing an object from your photo — our designers do this at no charge before printing. You approve a proof before anything goes to press. We’d rather spend twenty minutes on your file than print something you half-like.
How does the room visualizer work?
Take a straight-on photo of your wall, upload it on any product page, and the visualizer overlays the design at approximate scale. It’s built into every product page alongside the price customizer, so you can see the design and the exact cost for your wall dimensions in the same minute. No account, no email gate. Browse the full wallpaper collection to try it.
Can you adjust an existing design to fit my wall?
Yes. Murals are scaled to your exact wall dimensions as standard — that’s what print-to-order means. Repeating patterns can often be recoloured or rescaled too. A pattern that suits a high-ceilinged Montreal Plateau walk-up might need a smaller repeat in a Toronto semi’s hallway; ask, and the design team will set it up free.
