Vintage wooden tennis rackets, some in their old trapezoid presses, are tossed across a cream ground in pale blue-grey with navy grips and crests. Designed by Ontario artist Tara Ritchie, the rackets carry little details like monogram letters and leaf emblems. The medium scale suits a den or living room, a teen bedroom, or a games room or clubhouse-style lounge.

Same install approach as Traditional Smooth, with one key difference: overlap murals by 1" at each panel seam instead of butting edge-to-edge. Peel the backing panel-by-panel and press onto a clean, primed wall, smoothing from top-centre outward. Repositionable during install, so you can lift and re-align if a panel drifts.

Soft-touch smooth matte texture. Self-adhesive with a backing paper — think of it as a giant sticker. The easiest install we offer, and easily removable without damaging your walls.
Fine art-canvas texture that adds a luxury look and feel to any wallpaper or mural. Zero glare (it’s the same finish used on movie sets), still self-adhesive with a backing paper for a straightforward install.
The original style of wallpaper — a non-woven paper hung with paste-the-wall glue. Wipe-able but not waterproof. Best for feature walls with lower traffic where you want that classic paper feel and finish.

Tara Ritchie, a surface pattern designer based in Etobicoke, Ontario, designed this pattern. She takes inspiration from the rhythm of daily life and the art she spots around the city, which suits this playful, nostalgic theme. It is part of our Canadian Artists collection and is printed to order in Vancouver; each order pays Tara a royalty.
The ground is a soft cream. The rackets are drawn in a pale powder blue and blue-grey, with navy accents on the grips and strings and a hint of warm beige on some racket heads. The blues stay cool in Canadian winter daylight, and lamplight warms the cream so the scheme feels softer in the evening.
The rackets are medium in scale and laid out at different angles, so the design has a lively, tossed feel. Because the colours are pale and the background is light, it reads as playful rather than busy, and the navy grips give the eye small points to rest on.
It is a good choice for a den or living room with a sporting or vintage theme, a teen or guest bedroom, or a games room. The soft blue and cream palette also works in a traditional scheme with wood shelving and upholstered seating, adding personality without loud colour.
