Autumnal Wilderness reads like a view from a canoe trip through Muskoka or Algonquin — distant peaks, still water, and that particular autumn light where everything glows amber for about three weeks in October. The foreground shows alpine lakes in teal and deep blue, with burnt orange and rust-coloured foliage reflected on the surface. Pine stands climb the middle distance before fading into watercolour washes at the horizon line.
