Ditzy Daisy Chain is by Amy Emma Design. Amy Emma grew up in the English countryside and now lives in the Canadian Rockies, surrounded by wild meadows – the simple daisy chain is a nod to both. It belongs to our Canadian Artists collection and is printed to order in Vancouver. Each order pays the artist a royalty.
Despite the name, the ground is a soft sage green with a grey-khaki undertone. The daisies have white petals outlined in dark ink, with warm yellow centres, on thin sage stems. In daylight the green looks fresh; under warm lamps it shifts toward khaki, and in flat winter light it reads a little greyer.
Each daisy is a few inches across, strung in vertical chains with wide stretches of green between them. The pattern is calm and orderly, with a clear vertical line that adds height. It reads as a mid-light ground with crisp white accents.
It suits a living room or sunroom with rattan, cane and white upholstery, and a bedroom with linen bedding. The sage ground works well with natural wood and cream. It fits cottage, boho and modern farmhouse styles, and the vertical chains sit nicely behind a bed or sofa.
The inks are latex and Greenguard certified, so the surface can be gently wiped. Use a soft cloth or sponge with water and a little mild soap, then pat dry. Avoid abrasive pads or strong cleaners. Wiping in the direction of the daisy chains, rather than scrubbing, keeps the finish even.
